For those who enjoy active fishing and plan to spend more than 2-3 hours a day on the water, we provide fully equipped, comfortable fishing boats. Our boats feature 20-30hp engines, electronics, a MotorGuide electric motor with remote control and GPS anchoring, and wide high platforms for casting.
Anglers look for the top spots to catch pike in Finland. We have explored various fishing waters near Helsinki, along the western sea coast, in the Finnish Lakeland, and in the lakes of Central Finland to create our ranking of the best spots for pike fishing. Our list of locations will be helpful for anglers coming to Finland from other countries who are fishing in unfamiliar waters for the first time. Download our Fishing Catalogue from here.
100 km west of Helsinki.
Fantastic big pike destination. It works great for over 1 m pikes or 20-30 smaller pikes per day at the end of April - beginning of May, or October-November.
180-200 km west of Helsinki.
Our favorite pike spots are located near the Livonsaari, Nauvo, Korpo islands. Here kilometer-long coastlines with reeds, where pike hunt well in spring and autumn.
280-350 km east of Helsinki.
Fishing on the lakes works great in the summer when the water warms up. We can offer huge lakes that look like seas, or smaller lakes where you can easily find fish.
Best times of the year for pike fishing in Finland is May and Ocotber.
The prime seasons are spring as soon as ice melts (from the last week of April to mid June) and autumn (September to November), which coincide with the periods when pike are most active and can be found in shallower waters.
In the spring and fall, you can catch a lot of fish in a day (up to 50 pike per boat), including trophy-sized pike.
In the summer, the fish move to deeper waters and become less active, making them a bit harder to find. However, we know good spots in the lakes where you can still find large pike using electronics and LiveScope system.
If you are aged between 18 and 69, you need to pay the fishing management fee (license or permit) to fish in Finland.
Exceptions for free fishing: Ice-fishing with one rod; Fishing with a rod without a reel (basic worm fishing).
Fishermen under 18 or over 69 do not need a license. However, anyone fishing on private lakes with stocked fish or on rapids/streams must always have a paid permit from the owner, regardless of age.
